What Heston ate at The Common Room

I was lucky enough to bump into Heston Blumenthal recently – at The Common Room in Franschhoek. After my chance encounter I made two conclusions: (a) The Common Room is most certainly not for commoners, and (b) if he chose to eat here rather than at The Tasting Room, surely we should be paying more attention to Le Quartiers’ latest addition.

Skinny Legs & All Luxury Café

The latest addition to the café scene on Loop Street was inspired by Rose Bakery and restaurant in Paris. It’s quirky, clean, contemporary and oh so stylish. I went there for my weekly ‘town’ fix and loved it.
